A Wonderful ExperienceLet me focus on some of the high points from Warrior Leadership Summit. This evening, Doug Hutchcraft was the speaker in our main session. He did a tremendous job in talking about the importance of every one of the warriors in that room going home and being a rescuer who is committed to rescuing their friends and family with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We have woven throughout our preaching sessions the theme from Dr. A.W. Tozer’s great book, “The Pursuit of God.” The premise of the book discussed that before a man has a thought toward God, God has a thought toward the man. God pursues us before we come to Christ. After we come to Christ, the rest of our life is the glorious pursuit of God. Then from that, we join God in His pursuit of others who are lost. Doug took that concept and did a tremendous job in conveying the passion and commitment of a rescuer and the commitment to integrity. He talked about being willing to be a Gideon and bring the Gospel message to those who need it most. It was a great message and a great night. The evening was capped off by quite a performance. We have powerful messages, preaching, and teaching, but then we also have fun. We brought in a BMX bike group that is a Gospel ministry team. They set up ramps in the auditorium and the Native youth that were watching this performance were blown away by the skill and the talent of these bikers. They had the place rockin’! I’ll tell you, it was amazing. We had a great day. WLS today has been a wonderful experience and again we want to thank you for praying. Thank you for being there and helping make this Summit the largest Summit ever and the most successful Summit, I think, we’ve ever had in On Eagles’ Wings history. |
