We Will Carry the Gospel

Here's a little bit of what God did at our final day of Warrior Leadership Summit.

In the morning message, we talked about riding the storm of hard times and struggles because so many of these youth will be going home to difficult environments and surroundings. The Bible teaches that our hard times can be turned into God times. The message was well received by the youth and it was an encouragement to them.

We also were able to honor our elders this morning, as we do every year, where we give the elders awards for their lifetime of faithfulness to Jesus Christ. There was a standing ovation for these wonderful Christian elders who have walked with God for a lifetime.

We had more Battle Councils today where various subjects were brought out. Several of our leaders addressed one of the most significant pain producing issues in Native America and in Canada - sexual abuse. Many Native youth have unfortunately suffered the ravages of that kind of abuse. Many of them come to WLS broken and wounded, and here they find answers from God's Word on how to deal with the horrific pain that abuse produces.Warriors Worshipping at WLS

We deal with the tough issues here at WLS. We deal with the real life issues. We don't paint around them. We go after them head on and address from a Biblical perspective how to find freedom from the bondages that keep us down.

We had an incredible closing night. It was a wonderful night where the Gospel message was proclaimed and we discussed how to walk in obedience to God as we leave from here.

Our elders came back on the stage tonight. They led the way in a march with batons in their hand and they passed the baton on to the next generation, to our team members and from our team members to every warrior in attendance. They all grabbed the baton and passed it through row after row as they symbolically said, "We're picking up the baton from our elders and we will carry the Gospel in our generation." It was a wonderful ending to the largest ever Warrior Leadership Summit. We want to thank you so much for making Warrior Leadership Summit such a tremendous success.

As we say goodbye to hundreds of Native young people on their way back to their home communities, there's a group of these warriors who will stay behind and we help equip them, train them, and get them ready to launch our Summer of Hope outreach.

We pray that you'll stay with us through the journey as we make our way down the road and as we visit these Native communities and bring the hope of the Gospel. We will see a great harvest among Native people all across North America.

Group picture of warriors. Two teams are going out, one team will visit reservations in the United States and one team is visiting communities and some of the most isolated regions of Canada. We need you to be praying for us. Follow the teams and journey with us as we take the Gospel to our people all across North America.

Thank you for being with us and for helping us get here. Thank you for helping launch what we pray will be the most powerful Summer of Hope in On Eagles' Wings history. We appreciate the partnership that we have together with you to bring the message of hope to so many people. We'll look forward to communicating with you more as we journey down the road. God bless you!
