Turkey Day and Giving ThanksIt was a strange team meeting. We started off praying together and going over some ministry things, and then the question came – “Can we do a Thanksgiving dinner for the youth next week?” Sure, that may not sound weird, except that it came at the beginning of October! Before you think our team is that desperate for turkey and stuffing, know that half of our ministry staff are Canadians who celebrate Thanksgiving earlier than the U.S. So, Thanksgiving this year came early in our neck-of-the-woods. |
