No, I'm not talking about the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. What I'm referring to is where a gathering of close to 5,000 athletes would compete and represent their nations. There couldn't be a greater contrast from the last urban community to where the caravan was now heading. It would take us two whole days of travel to reach one of the most isolated, but most beautiful Reserves in all of Canada. It's so isolated, that only 50 years ago were they able to bring in a road that could connect them with the rest of Canada. By the way, the they we're talking about was the local people. Since making a commitment to Canada four years ago, most of our outreaches have been in isolated First Nations communities, some of which are incredibly challenging to get to. We've had to fly into communities with no roads leading to them. This summer included taking a 24-hour ferry boat ride to another isolated community we visited. We're known for going to the hard-to-get-to places. But for now, our team's sights are set on an urban community of 50,000 people where close to 5,000 First Nations people call home. In my last... And some awesome answers to prayer. The challenges were evident as a local Christian leader briefed our team on our fifth reservation, Rocky Ridge.
